What is a zine?
A zine is a compilation of creative works, usually artworks and writing. It’s similar to a book or a miniature magazine.
What is this zine's theme?
This zine is centered around the relationship between Zhongli and Diluc.
What are the zine specs?
- For Profit, Available both Physically and Digitally
- A5 zine, Perfect bound, around 60 pages
- 24 artists, 3 merch artists, 4 writers (subject to change)
How will contributors be compensated?
We aim to provide all contributors with a full bundle of the zine, inclusive of the zine itself, all available merch items, stretch goals and shipping. Funds will mainly go towards production and shipping. The remaining funds will be distributed among the mods and all contributors evenly.
Will other character/ships be featured?
As the main focus of this zine is Zhongli and Diluc, we will not be having other ships included in the zine. Other characters and platonic interactions, however, are more than welcome.
Is the zine only set in canonverse? Are AUs allowed?
The setting for the zine will not be limited to canonverse, and will include both canon and AUs, subject to the interest of our contributors.
Who is allowed to apply?
Everyone aged 16 and above at the point of July 7th will be able to participate in the zine. Individuals under the age of 18 should have the approval of a guardian and can be paid through a guardian's PayPal.
Are you looking for more moderators / intern mods?
We will not be looking for more mods, nor intern mods.
Am I allowed to apply for more than one position?
Yes, although applicants who apply for more than one position will only be selected for one position.
Will everyone who applies get an email regardless of their results?
Yes, result emails will be sent to everyone who applies.

Note: this page only applies to those applying for a contributor role. To see what is expected of an accepted contributor, please head here.

  • All applicants should be aged 16 and above at the point of application.

  • Applicants are allowed to apply for more than one role, but will only be accepted for one.

Artist and Merch Artists

  • Artists will be judged on anatomy, composition, lighting, environment, color theory, and grasp on personal style.

  • Artists should submit a portfolio of 3 or more of their best works, quality being more important than quantity.

  • If applying for page art, one sample must provide a full illustrated background (no flat colours, gradients, vectors, graphic design elements).

  • If applying for merch art, examples of the type(s) merch pieces you would prefer to create are encouraged.

  • Genshin Impact related samples are encouraged, but not required.

  • All general application guidelines apply.

Writer

  • Writers will be judged on how well they can tell a story within a limited word count, grammar, syntax, flow, characterisation.

  • Writer applications will have a maximum word count of 6k across three samples, with a leeway of 100 words.

  • One sample must be a Genshin Impact piece.

  • One sample should be within 1.5k - 2k and completed (not an excerpt).

  • Submissions of excerpts are allowed as long as the above rules are followed.

  • Having pieces featuring Diluc, Zhongli or both among your three samples is largely encouraged but not compulsory.

  • NSFW pieces are allowed in your portfolio (a portfolio website, AO3, Google Folder), but not within your three samples.

  • All general application guidelines apply.
